Keep Your Lamp Filled! Use oil to stay lit!

Money Mindset-23.png

An oil lamp can’t light a room if it is out of oil.

You can’t be a light in this world if you are “out of oil”.

Keep your lamp filled!

Especially if you are caring for dependents, old or young, it is critical to watch your own health - keep your lamp filled!  A major key in maintaining a well-rounded lifestyle is protecting your physical health.  Essential oils can be incorporated into that in many different ways.

doTERRA prides itself in a designation of Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG®) based on extraction from plants grown and harvested in their indigenous habitat, with scientific in-house and 3rd party testing to certify safety and purity.  I firmly believe in informed self-care as part of your health regimen, and strongly encourage getting to the root cause of an ailment rather than masking symptoms with medications.

One of my favorite oils from doTERRA is OnGuard® ~ they actually have a whole line of products incorporating OnGuard® because of the array of protective benefits.  It is a blend of Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary CPTG® oils with a spicy citrus aroma.  It’s properties are all helpful to kill germs and provide immune support.  It is available as the oil bottle (to make your own blends), beadlets (to more easily take internally on-the-go), foam hand cleaner, cleaner concentrate (make your own foam cleaner, multi-purpose cleaner or dish cleaner), laundry soap, mouthwash, toothpaste, throat drops, sanitizing mist, and soft gels.  I diffuse the oil all the time at work to keep germs at bay, and make my own throat lozenges with OnGuard®, lemon, peppermint and honey to soothe and protect.

Some other excellent health protectors are:

OREGANO CPTG® - sourced from Turkey, steam-distilled from the leaves, is also an excellent germ-killer and antibiotic, as well as useful in cooking (1 drop = 1 Tablespoon dried).  Diffuse overnight in the bedroom if you feel a cold coming on, put a few drops in a roller bottle with a carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil) and use on your spine and bottoms of your feet a couple times a day, OR... ramp up the flavor of those Italian meals! :) Yum!

TEA TREE CPTG® - also known as melaleuca, is indigenous to Australia, and can treat many fungal or skin conditions.  It cleanses and rejuvenates -- use such as when you have a cut (sorry, yes it stings, but thoroughly cleans), dandruff or acne -- add a couple drops to your shampoo or face soap.  Repeated use has proven to heal and boost immune support against recurrence of the conditions.

NOTE: Be sure to store your essential oils in dark bottles, out of heat and sun for optimal useful shelf life.  It is also best to have a reference book when using essential oils. Aroma Tools has an excellent one (Modern Essentials) which explains best uses, recipes and lots of scientific research.  Or, of course, there’s an app for that!   It’s almost impossible to remember all the traits of the different oils, so helpful to look something up when you have various health concerns.

**The knowledge and research I share has not been evaluated by the FDA, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease, rather provide an alternative source to consider.
